Plates

Crafted from white raku clay and shaped using a Japanese wooden press mould, these plates are available in both small and large sizes.

Each piece is uniquely made, featuring individual stamping and texturing achieved through a variety of techniques, including shellac relief, stamping, and the use of found and recycled materials. The designs are strongly inspired by the stunning natural landscape surrounding Rubibi (Broome) in northern Western Australia.

The plates are glazed with a red iron oxide wash, finished with a clear glaze on the surface. The sides and underside are left unglazed, showcasing a natural red finish reminiscent of the iconic landscapes that inspired their creation.
